We have recently been retained by this prestigious national wealth management IFA to assist in their search for a new paraplanning assistant, to replace an individual who has been promoted to full paraplanning status.
Clients at the firm are generally wealthy professionals with the holistic advice on offer tending to focus on investments, tax mitigation and specialist pensions, although a good deal of corporate work is also carried out. To that end applicants must have a background within financial services providing sales support either within an IFA practice or life company.
Applicants will be at least progressing with the Certificate in Financial Planning (or equiv). Certainly once on board, the successful individual will be expected to undertake further study.
As an organisation they are more than happy to assist in the long-term development of their staff with a culture rewarding rather than thwarting ambition. This does include longer-term opportunities to move fully into the paraplanning arena, with a number of existing paraplanners having started in this capacity.
