US anti-dumping duty order against stainless steel imports may be lifted

The United States International Commission on Trade (USITC) is considering lifting a current anti-dumping duty order against certain stainless steel imports from the Philippines, Malaysia, and Italy ahead of the measure’s expiration next month, the agency said in federal register notice dated Nov. 1. Import of stainless steel pipe is up substantially in 2011

Imports of seamless stainless steel pipe and tube are up substantially in 2011 over the same period in 2010.  Total imports of small diameter seamless pipe and tubing are up by nearly 40 percent through August, 2011, lead by substantial increases from Japan (up 350 percent) and China (up 56 percent).

Italian property prices fall

Property prices in Italy slid by 0.7 per cent during the year to June 2011, figures from think-tank Nomisma show.

Citing the data in a report about the state of the country's real estate market, Global Property Guide noted that there is a mixed outlook for the sector.

The publication highlighted a Bank of Italy survey from October this year, which found that estate agents in the nation expected sales to increase over the coming months.

The value of residential real estate assets in Turkey has risen, new research shows.

According to the REIDIN.com monthly property index for the nation, the worth of homes increased by an average of 0.81 per cent in October, compared to September.
